It is very tasty but why doesn’t have any peri peri spice in it. We bought it because we thought that it contained this spice. So, although we enjoyed it we are disappointed .

Really good as a dipping sauce with any Asian appetizers, and also adds nice acidity and seasoning for stir fries and noodle dishes.

I was a little confused by the negative reviews of this peri peri sauce. I found it delicious - it is tangy and flavorful, but it is not hot- and not meant to be. I have concluded that others might have been expecting a sauce with Central or South American flavors. Although originally made with Brazilian peppers which were brought by Portuguese traders to their colonies in West Africa and the Asian Pacific, peri peri sauces were developed by African peoples for African cuisines- and if you eat it with those foods it fits perfectly. It might not be good for tacos or burritos, but it is excellent when paired with grilled chicken or yams. Try it!

I haven’t had the chance to make anything with this yet however I tried a dab on my finger and it very surprising. Immediate non over-whelming heat/spicy but didn’t linger. What did linger was the flavor which I find is delicious. I think my first meal will be marinated shrimp, or on some chicken wings.
