A refreshing Derby Day cocktail famously served at ChurchillDowns. I’ve added a little bit of jalapeño heat to the sweet and minty concoction. CheersThese are best made with crushed ice in a pewter,stainless-steel cup or Moscow mule cup.
Place 5-6 mint leaves in the cup with the simple syrup and muddle. Add your Bourbon and fill the cup half way with crushed ice, stir. Top off the glass with ice, add a straw and a garnish of mint. Be sure to slap the mint to release its essence prior to garnishing.
